Winter is Coming

Winter is Coming
Letter from Rylee
So since I wrote you on Wednesday nothing much has happened. We are doing a lot of finding. We still believe the Lord will bless us. We have to continue to show we are doing our best. And we have to remember people are using their agency. (FREEDOM TO CHOOSE) sometimes it can be hard. But it’s all good, just keep plugging along.

We had a really good lesson with S. We walked into her house. Right as we came into sit. She said "lets pray for her friend who is in the hospital. She believes in prayer. That you can pray everywhere. It was a really good lesson we had with her. We stopped by her house because her boyfriend can fix bikes really well. Her boyfriend told her she should go to church this week. To stop saying maybe and just go and check it out. :) :) :) We went to pick her up and we all biked to church. She is 22 and has 2 kids. It was fun biking with a family to church. The kids loved it!! And She enjoyed it. She contributed in all the lessons!! :) It was awesome. She was teaching us. Telling us we are here on earth to learn and to grow...to progress. :) She is awesome!! We biked her and her family home. They are doing well!! :)

The weather is going downhill. It is going straight to winter it is raining so much and it is freezing. ahhhhh WINTER in England is comin fast!! It is going to be cold. I hope that it isn't too bad.

I love you all! :) I love reading the Book of Mormon. I am now in 3 Nephi! :) I am so excited to read it. It is an amazing book. I love learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is so much to learn. Really I learn something new every day. haha :)

President Thomas S. Monson said, “I believe the Savior is telling us that unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own lives. Those who live only for themselves eventually shrivel up and figuratively lose their lives, while those who lose themselves in service to others grow and flourish—and in effect save their lives"

Love you!

Staying in Nottingham

I’m staying in Nottingham

Hello family!! It was so nice to come in on this wonderful day. Not having to go to transfers. I have gone to every transfer meeting since I have been out. So it is nice to have a relaxing P-day! :)  Not to many moves this transfer. Only 2 or 3 groups of sisters are moving out of the 10.

We have had a weird week. We had Sister's training, which was awesome!! It took a lot of our week. It was nice to see everyone and to have President and Sister Rasmussen there to talk with us. Help us with any questions or concerns we have. We talked about what a great role we play in missionary work. How not to compare ourselves to other missionaries in the work. To always do our best. Etc. It was really good. We had a testimony mtg the first night. I cried. Then the next day we had a testimony mtg.... I cried. I have come to know this is who I am :)  I have to embrace it, love it, and be it! :)

We haven't had much success. I was praying super hard we would be about to have some miracles. I listened to the spirit. We were able to go into this Less Active ladies home that hasn't let us in since I have been here. Then we stopped by C. Who we haven't seen for like 3 weeks. She just came to my mind and we were able to talk with her and she still wants to learn more about the gospel! :) Yay!!

We had Stake conference. It was really good. Took some really good notes. One of the sayings that I really liked was
"Gods ability to love us is beyond our Choice. With everything else we have Agency."  I loved it, it was really good.

We had some really good lessons. We taught this man P who has been seeing Jehovah Witnesses for 2 years, and has been going to their church. But he feels like something is missing!  He is definitely searching! :) He ran into Elders after zone p-day and asked for a Book of Mormon, which that just doesn't happen. So it was really cool.

That was pretty much our week. We are staying together in Nottingham. It will be fun.

Did someone say Batman

7 MONTHS - WOW

We had a Zone P-day today.  I just got back from the Wollaton Hall.  This is where the new Batman was filmed.  It was fun :)

This week has been ok. There have been a lot of ups and downs. Our investigators are not answering our phone calls. We are trying to find new investigators. We found some new people! :) This is always a plus. I want people to have the same happiness and joy I feel every day. There is a miracle just around the corner. Heavenly Father is just trying to see what we are capable of. :) We will show him.

We have Stake Conference this next Sunday. I am super excited about it. We have a Seventy coming to talk to us. We are meeting in the Nottingham University Conference Center. It’s a white building. Gorgeous!!

I love you all!!! :) Thank you for everything you have done for me and for the emails each week. I really appreciate it! I hope you have a great week.  You are always in my prayers.  Keep studying the scriptures.  I am learning new things every day about the gospel.  It is amazing.  Love you so much!!!!

Zone Conference

Zone Conference
Letter from Rylee
We had Zone Conference on Wednesday. It was really good we had the Area President come talk to us. He talked about Inviting. What I loved about Zone Conference is, it really makes you focus on the things you want to improve. It makes you want to step up your game as a missionary. It was really good I quite enjoyed it. President Rasmussen is also focusing on some different things as well. We had departing testimonies. Those are always so sad. The spirit is so strong. To hear some amazing experiences from missionaries, and to see the Lords hand in the work.

London was good....LONG!!! But good. We drove there, we drove around London it was so cool. All throughout England there are different accents. Southern, Northern, Western, Brumby, and Welsh haha that’s just a few. But it was fun. We got stuck in traffic so we didn’t get home until like 10pm. It was really long. Sis. Rasmussen was so sweet and she gave us some food to drive home with.

We had some good lessons we have some new investigators. T and T are sisters. They are grandkids to a member. We taught them. The lesson went so well. The spirit was so strong. We could really see their desire. Why they want to learn more things. They are doing so well. They have been reading the Book of Mormon. In school they learn about all religions RE (religious Education) they don’t learn that much about it, so they are very interested.

. Love you all so much!
