P-day in Nottingham

Another week

Hello family, this week has been really good. Thank you for all the birthday wishes and the emails. Sounds like you had a fun Thanksgiving holiday. I was thinking about you guys on that day. Sounds like it was eventful!! J

Sorry this email will be a little short because we had zone p-day and we are running late.

We had a good week. We had an awesome lesson with E. We set the program so it is set in stone. As we were about to leave he told us some surprising news, he thinks he has a new Scotland, what a surprise. He doesn't know when he would be starting. But it could be soon. So we had to tell him we can go to Scotland to baptize him. Hopefully things will work out; I think they will because he really wants to get baptized here. So fingers crossed!!

With the Holiday season and Christmas coming. people are getting busy. There was a man who told us we could come back and visit him in January. So basically after Christmas. Sis Matapo said this is how the holidays usually are. So it is going to be a little tricky to figure out appointments.  We stopped by a lot of the less actives this week. Our investigators are busy, things are coming up with the holidays. Final projects and things as well.

We had a good lesson with a lady the elders are working with. She is so sweet. It was a really good time, and they both came to church and stayed for the WHOLE time!! :) In all 3 classes.

It is getting cold, foggy, and frosty, and it has rained all week!! So not that many pictures sorry. But I didn't want to get my camera all wet.

I love you all!! Thank you for the emails!! They make my day when I come and have 3 emails. or more :)

love you

Proper Bruise - Bike Wreck

Hi Family!

This week has been really good. E is doing so well. He is still going strong with the Word of Wisdom. He didn't ask any questions this week. He has been really stressed with his PHD project. He is trying to graduate in July. But after he met with us he was smiling and wasn't as stressed. He has picked a date!!! AHHHHH :)  December 8th!! We fasted with him this week and if he does well on his test which I know the Lord works miracles when we exercise our faith in Him. Everything will work out. He is so prepared and is doing so well. He came to church yesterday and he really liked it. A Member who is fellowshipping him. (They are really good friends) invited him to church and dinner after church. He was excited!! I am praying so hard. He is doing so well. Thank you for the prayers for him :)

E and R (the Chinese students) they are doing well. We taught them the 10 commandments. It was good. It also helped me a lot in the since that I suck at understanding the Bible.  So after the lesson I have decided that I really need to get over my fear of the Bible. I am being blessed on my mission to understand things better than I ever have before...So I started reading the Bible! :) I am so proud of myself  I have read 18 chapters. I read it with the dictionary and it is getting easier. The parables sometimes get me but I know as I try my best I will understand what Heavenly Father wants me to understand. It is amazing to read and to see the stories of Christ. In the few Chapters that I read there is so many times that is says "Jesus felt compassion for the people..." That made me realize just a small bit, how loving and compassionate He is and how much he loves us. I can’t even imagine! E and R were so excited to hear about the 10 commandments and to see that they are already living them. They are doing well. We are just hoping that they will soon come to church.

My knee hasn't been doing very well. The bruise was really bad it still isn't doing so well. So we bused a lot this week. But I am trying to push myself. The bruise is right on my knee cap so every time I move. My knee cap moves. So it hurts the bruise  :) it is fun!! But I am doing better! :)

It’s crazy to think that Thanksgiving is coming this week? Right? I am not quite sure; it’s weird on a mission. It feels kind of like a blur. That it’s a dream  :) it’s weird, but fun at the same time.
We are working hard. I love this gospel, I love the scriptures, I love the Sabbath day, and I love my family!

Hello family! I can NOT believe this...crazy!! It’s been 9 months. I feel like it has gone by so fast. WOW!!  Sounds like everyone is doing well. I can’t believe the snow storm you guys had! That is crazy! I am glad it has not snowed here yet!! 16 inches... (I think that is what you said dad... but I can’t remember) :)  I don’t miss driving in the snow at all.  :)

This week has been pretty good. We had a great lesson with E. He is doing really well. Last week we taught him about the Word of Wisdom. It was 10 minutes. So this week we went and finished teaching him more about it. He has been doing great with it. He has kept it for a week now. He is PRAYING ABOUT A DATE!!!! :) How exciting!!! He is still doing well.  Please keep him in your prayers.

We had a really good lesson with Sis. E and R. A Chinese member from the Notts1 ward came to teach with us. It went really well. They have never heard of the gospel and some of the words. So it was really good that (Hong) came to teach with us to explain better. She knows where they are coming from. They think baptism is a big step and they are scared. So they are going to come see a baptism this week, which will be good to watch one.  They are doing really well.

Wow!!! So on my half way mark. The 9th, we had zone conference. Elder Kerr came! It was awesome!! The spirit was so strong. We were talking about so many different things, it was awesome. It was definitely an answer to my prayers.

Sunday we had a good day at church. It was remembrance Sunday and everyone wore a poppy. After church we were going to a Less Active family and sis. Matapo didn't see where I was turning. So she went straight. She wasn't coming so I hurried and biked to go find my companion. (She had the phone) So I was biking. I passed the ramp for the curb and I thought I could still make it...well I fell!!! Hard! I slid of the pavement and almost hit my face. I am ok. My hands are scratched up. I have some rips (like gymnastic ones) and a proper, massive, burse on my knee.....
BUT I AM OK... IT JUST HURTS. But I am fine. So that was my week. I love you guys so much!! :) Hope you have a great week.

Thank you to the Petersen family for the package, Thank you Beth for the package, I feel so loved.  Mom and dad thank you for the package and email, love you!

HUMP Day This WEEK!!

Oh My Gosh……HUMP DAY this WEEK!!!!

It’s crazy to think a year ago this week I was getting my call. So crazy. I feel like since I received my call time has just flashed by.  I haven't opened my “HUMP DAY” package yet, because I know it will make the day so much better...but it is staring me in the face!!!  :)

This week has been really good. We have seen a lot of people.  We basically went to everyone we are teaching to have Sister Matapo introduce herself; so they feel comfortable with us. It was a really good week. We had some good lessons with S. We watched Finding Faith in Christ. She really liked it. My relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer has grown this week. I love reading the scriptures and talking with my companion after our appointments.

E was really good this week as well. I was really nervous he wouldn't let us see him since Sis. Brooks left. But he did!!!  He is praying about a date. Praying about December 1st. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED WITH HIM!! So exciting! :) Then we saw him on Saturday as well. We were sitting with him in the cafe and he wanted to order us tea or coffee. We told him that we don’t drink it. Then we told him some more. He told us to teach him the Word of Wisdom. He went down stairs and bought red bush tea and herbal tea. He is going to keep it. :) He is doing so well. He really is so prepared!! I can see Lords hand in the work :)

We saw sister E, and we are going to take a member with us this week. She read the Chinese Book of Mormon and didn't really understand it. So we are going to find a Mandarin speaker to come help. C has had a few off weeks. L is doing well. She has read 2 Nephi 30 - 3 Nephi 20. In like one week. It’s crazy. It makes her so happy!! I love to see how the gospel can bring so much peace and joy into someone’s life. When they give it a chance.

I love this gospel and to be able to share it with people of the street. Also, to hear others and their relationship with the Savior.
I love you all!!!
