Feeling Blessed

Heavenly Father is Blessing us Soooooo Much

Oh my gosh!! We have had an amazing week. Seriously!! I am sad I will be leaving it. We had exchange this week. With Sister T and  Sister D (her new missionary) it was a great exchange. We were able to get so much stuff done. And we saw so many miracles. We have taught J so much this week to get him ready for his baptism TONIGHT! He is doing so well. He loves this gospel and knows God is blessing his life. One of the Sister’s and I went and tracted down this road, we found some elect people. Really. We met this young man, he has some amazing stories. He prayed about the Bible and received a witness it is true. He believes God could send us a Prophet again on the earth today. I told him he has. God is "the same yesterday, to-day and forever" (1 Nephi 10:18) Why would he give us prophets on the earth to lead and guide the people in the Bible...and just stop. The gospel is amazing and it just clicks. I love seeing it on people’s faces. It just reaffirms to me we all have heard this plan and have accepted it before.

R’s lesson was amazing....!!! :) Seriously! We walked in and sat and talked for a while. He asked if he could pray in the beginning. (He always prays at the end, so this was a big deal) in his prayer he expressed how grateful he is for prayer. And that he knows his mother was healed, and it was a miracle through him. He told us “Heavenly Father loves us so much. I know that He performed a miracle on my mom. I am so grateful to him" It was a great lesson the spirit was defiantly there.

Later that night we had a member from the stake call us and say that she wants to come out teaching with us every week. MIRACLE!!  That doesn't happen!!! And she is lovely!

OH MY GOSH!!! Now we are on Sunday. J invited 2 of his friends and E and R came as well. We had 4 investigators at church today!!!!! :) It was amazing. We all took the bus and we walked to church. It was so awesome. We arrive a little late; we had a herd of Chinese students (5) it was awesome!! In Sunday school we watched Finding Faith in Christ. (In Chinese) the spirit was so strong in that room. After the lesson, one of J's friends said "I want to be baptized!!!" "NOW!!" "J has taught me everything, I know it is true. I want to get baptized tomorrow with him!" We told him, we needed to teach him as well. He has a baptism date for next Saturday. It was amazing!! I have never had this happen on my mission. I have never heard of it happening. It was great!!!! :)

J is getting baptized tonight at 6:30, so 1:30 pm your guys time. :) Think of him and please pray that he and his friends will feel the spirit.

I love you all!! I am so grateful for this work. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is His work. He puts people in our path that need the gospel. That He is preparing for us to share the gospel. Look around, I know He will help you share the gospel, or just be a "good example" (Alma 17:11) I love you all
Love you tons!

Miracles

MIRACLES!!

What an awesome week. We had some amazing lesson with R. He is doing well.  He set a goal of being baptized in March. It is so exciting for him. He is also reading in the Book of Mormon. He really likes that it is a story. He said it’s pretty easy to understand once you get started. He reads it out of the Chinese one first. Then he reads it from the English one.

Wednesday was a miracle day!!! The 13th, I could really feel Dan with us this day. I am not sure if it is his anniversary this day. But we were able to see a lady who we tracted into last week.  (the lady who we shared about families) she didn't answer the door. We were about to walk away and then I heard a voice "stay a little longer and put the Plan of Salvation pamphlet through the mail slot)" So we did. As we were writing on it, she opened the door. She was really happy to see us.  Later that day it was a blizzard we walked to a potential Investigators house 4 miles. I felt like we should walk. When we arrived she wasn't in. Sister Lewis said we should knock some random doors. I said sure. We were walking and I felt like we should walk down this street. We knocked on some doors. Nothing...and then we knocked on M door. She let us in and we were able to teach her the Restoration. Her kids were there and it was great. They really liked it. She told us for some reason she just remembers Joseph Smith. She doesn't know why she remembers that....But we do! :) It was a miracle that we found her. Hopefully the spirit touched her heart. It was a miracle that she let us in. That rarely happens in England!!!! :) yay!!  We taught J that night with the Chinese member from Nott’s 1. We had a really good lesson with him. The Spirit was really strong. We watch the Restoration DVD, and invited him to be baptized. He accepted and picked the day. The 25th of February. Miracle, next Monday. We need to teach him everything else. But he is defiantly feeling the spirit. He knows that the Book of Mormon is true. That is what started it all. He said it helps people. Why would it be a bad book if it helps people know that Jesus is there?

Zone Conference was great. They really focused on Accountability, and Attributes of Christ. It was a very spiritual mtg. In missionary work you will have bad days and say this is really hard. But when you account to the Lord at the end of the day; it makes it all worth it. You know He is listening, that you are trying your best. And say “what more can I do". I really want to work on this and really gain those Christ-like attributes.

How amazing is that!! Things are going well here in Nottingham!! :) I love it! I know this gospel is true. We have a loving Heavenly Father, who wants us all to live with Him again. We have an Elder brother, Our Savior and Redeemer who came into the world for you and me. To give us the option to use the Atonement. He is there to help us to make us stronger. the Atonement is amazing. It not only helps the sinner but also the sinned against.  When we use the Atonement we will have peace. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the Savior. This gospel is amazing and it is blessing the lives of His children.

Just to let you know this next week we might not have p-day I am not sure. Transfers are different. They are cutting it off 4 days early, so we have transfers next Saturday the 2 of March. So I don’t know if we will be having a p-day next week or not

Love you!!! :)

Holy Cow - One Year!!

ONE YEAR!!!!!
Hello Oh my goodness....can you believe it! One year!!!! That is so crazy! It was so fun to be companions with Sister Lewis because we were able to celebrate together and remember a year ago from now. It was amazing!!  We had a great day and a great week!!

So this week. We did a lot of tracting. It was really fun. The people who we talked to weren't very interested. But they were so nice and very friendly. As we walked away one of the old lady's slowed down and honked the horn as she drove past us. She was so sweet. That night we also got fed SO MUCH!! OH my gosh!! We had 2....Dinner appointments. I was so full!!! I fasted the next day.

We had a really cool experience on Wednesday. We had an appointment. But we were stood up. So we started to tract the street. We started up at the top. President Rasmussen has told us to use our common since and look at the doors to knock. See if there is a car out front. Not just knocking on doors to say, you knocked on them. It was amazing because we met this girl last week on that street and we wanted to see her again. We have done this new thing where we pray for all the people that we meet. Even if they are not interested, that we will be able to run into them again....and it worked. We were knocking and...she opened the door. We had a good chat with her. Heavenly Father is working miracles every day.... The story doesn't stop. We both had to use the restroom so we thought one more door. As we looked around we saw a door. We went and knocked on it, the lady that answered said she was busy and was going to work soon. So we passed her a Restoration leaflet. Sister Lewis then goes on to say “this leaflet talks about families and how we can be together forever. Not just in this life but in the life after" (if you haven't ever read the restoration leaflet...it doesn't talk about this at all) The lady then goes on to say she lost her husband about a year ago last month. She is very interested in learning more. We set up a return appointment. The Lord really does work through his servants. I know the things that Sister Lewis said were through the spirit. She really needed to hear that. It was amazing!

We had zone meeting, which was amazing. We talked about how we can have the spirit more in our lives. To have a better relationship with Christ. We all set some really good personal goals. They are helping me so much as well. I can really feel the difference:
Adam fell that men might be and men are that they might have JOY. Joy comes when you put Jesus first. Then Others, then Yourself.

Friday 24 missionaries went to Stroud. It is a beautiful town. It is the picture perfect town of England. Cottage houses, love the accent, small and cute!! The missionaries are together, we are starting to do a musical fireside around the mission, singing in all the stakes. We did a quartet thing! :) It was really fun!! I enjoyed it. It was all day. It will happen every month.

Saturday. YEAR MARK!! It was great. We had fish'n chips for lunch. We stopped by and we talked to R. We wished him a happy Chinese New Year’s. It meant a lot to him. Then R asked if he could pray. He has never done this. He beat us to it. It was amazing. He says his prayers in Chinese/English. It was a great prayer. We sang him a song, he loved it. You could tell he felt the spirit. That night, we burned some clothing. I burned some leggings I don’t wear anymore. It was really fun!! It smelled bad! We did it in the car park behind our house. We didn't have a BBQ

Today was a good day a church. We had a good day. The spirit was so strong in all our meetings. The speakers talked about how to prepare for church so you can get more out of it. It is so true that is something that I have learned on my mission. It’s great to feel the spirit every day, not just on a Sunday when you go to church. Later that night we have a new thing were we are going to go to a different church prayer service. So we went to a C of E (Church of England).

I love you all!! I hope you had a great week.

Oh my Gosh... Almost one Year!!

Oh my Gosh…. Almost a YEAR!!

We have had a really good week. We have a new investigator and our other investigators are coming along well.  We taught S the Plan of Salvation. She knows why it is important to act. God isn't going to give us an answer until he trusts us and knows we will act on the answer. She wants to know if God is there. Her family is making fun of her for trying to find out so this is what has been holding her back. So hopefully she will keep the commitments we left with her :)

New investigator is J. She is really sweet!! We had a really spiritual lesson with her.

R is doing well. We have taught him the Restoration. He believes it could be true. But he wants an answer from God. He is a very factual person. But he is doing well. He knows God has given us so much. We watched the new Mormon message with them. "Earthy Father, Heavenly Father" he really enjoyed it. God does give us everything. Even the small things...like nap time :)

J’s lesson was funny. We also taught him the Restoration. He believes the Book of Mormon is true. J is a character. He came to church on Sunday and he liked it. It was hard for him to understand but he said he likes the standards of the church and that people have them!!

I love you all. I hope you have a great week. Thank you all for writing me! :) I can’t believe that isn't almost been a year. I miss you guys but it will go by so fast. It already is.

We are going to start going to prayer services on Sunday nights. This is the Beeston Church by our house. They have graves around English churches. It’s really cool. Then we went the bishop’s family last night.
