Sister Trainer Leader - WHAT!!

WHAT AN AMAZING WEEK!!
Wow!!! Can I just say this week has been pretty stressful..? Thank you for the emails I really loved them. So last week on P-day I received a phone call from President. He asked me to be a sister training leader. Since the news came out there would be more sisters coming, they have made a leadership for sisters. We go to the Council (used to be called Zone Leader council) once a month. I have to get my license!!! I have my provisional=which is like a learners permit. But wow!!! Can you believe it? So there are 4 Sister Training leaders. It’s me, Turnbow, Lewis and Laborero!!! :) So next transfer we will be paired up and go and visit all the sisters in the area. Do exchanges and so on. It is kind of like a sister ZL. We can council the Sisters where the Elders can't. So it is going to be good. So I am excited for the challenge in helping them.

We had Zone mtg. It was really good. We talked about helping investigators with their concerns. Helping us get to the inner circle. We did some really fun role plays that helped us later in the day with some of the investigators we are having a hard time helping them. It was also amazing to see the Elders (who came in my MTC group) they are all in leadership positions now and they have grown up to be men. Their testimonies have grown so much as well. It was great to see how much they have grown. Later we had dinner at Bishop Masons house. It was great. He is an amazing bishop. BIG NEWS: on Sunday he got released. He was bishop for 6-7 years. He was going strong. He was released and Bishop Chambers was called. Bishop Chambers will do amazing.

We had a miracle. One of the less actives in our ward invited us over for dinner. We went and she had some friends there. One of them is from Zulu, South Africa. She has been searching for something. Some missionaries in Kent found her a few years ago and took her contact information and never contacted her again. So, she was really excited to see us. We were able to teach her. She took a Book of Mormon right away. She loves how this religion just makes sense. She says everyone should at least try and learn about it before they reject it completely! I totally agree :) It was a great dinner appointment. Because earlier this week my companion and I had been praying that we would find someone who has been praying and wanting to change...and then we found her!!! :) I am so excited to teach her! She is amazing!!!! :)

The lady from Malaysia is doing well. She came to church. She loves learning about God. We were able to teach her about 2 Nephi 31. She got out her book of Mormon and started marking it! Her prayers are so sweet. She is so funny!! I have lots of stories to tell you about her. :)

F is AMAZING!!! :) I love Him so much! We taught him the Word of Wisdom this week. We were a little nervous because he smokes and drinks coffee. But he believes God loves us so much and He wants us to take care of our bodies. He accepted it after we invited him. He is doing so well. All we have to do now is waiting for their papers so they can go and get married. After we had a lesson with A. Wow!! Amazing as well. I love all my investigators so much. I have learned on my mission to love everyone and see them as God sees us. It is amazing. She is doing so well. And is working toward her baptism on the 17th of May.

We had exchanges in Cheltenham this weekend. It was really good. We found a lot. I am an experienced sister this transfer so I have to go to all of the Area's that I am assigned to. And do an exchange. It was good. It’s amazing to see how much I have grown in my mission, in talking to people. I love it!! :) It’s not scary anymore. I get a little nervous...but you just "open your mouth" :) "Do your best and God covers the rest"

Great Times

Great Times
Hi family!  Oh my gosh, you ALL get an A+ on your emails :) It was great!!!
We had a pretty crazy week. Last Monday we went out with a member and took some really good pictures!!! It was so much fun! It was just what I wanted. I love it!!! I am so grateful for her in taking us.

On Tuesday we went to district mtg. It was really good. Then we had some appointments. We weren't able to go home to empty our bags. So all day long we had all of our supplies you take to district mtg. (scriptures, PMG, Journal, and supplies to hand out, props to teach with....Full bag) it was good though. We are tough girls so, it just makes even stronger. We had a member with us. She wants to go on a mission as well. She is so sweet. We stopped by a potential we got last week. Then we went and saw J as our backup. (The Greek lady) We taught the Restoration. It was really good. She said that it makes sense that there should only be one church. She is really coming along well. :) I love her. She is so funny. Then we went and saw A. She is 17, she is AMAZING!! She has such a strong testimony. She teaches us most of the time. The spirit was so strong in her lesson. She has a baptismal date for the 17th of May. She is really excited!!! And nervous at the same time. She is so cute.

Wednesday we were in Swindon. It was really good. We just helped the sisters find some new people. They are white-washing, it is really hard but they are doing amazing job. We found some cool people for them. Then we came back it was a good long day. We slept on the floor and had no blankets or pillows and it was freezing.  I really am getting the whole mission life. I was grateful when we were home and I had my bed to sleep in that night.

Thursday we helped L (from Malaysia) clean her house. She is so funny.  She read a chapter from the Book of Mormon. She read a marked chapter...which is still good. Moroni 10. But we left her 2 Nephi 31. She had a hard time with understanding it. But she came to church. She really enjoyed it. It was a lot different from hers. But she is the sweetest lady in the world.

Friday!! Wow!!! Awesome day! We saw F and M. The lesson was so good. The spirit was there the whole time. They are the best members I have ever met. Even though F isn't a member yet. M told me that she doesn't read the news paper or watch TV because it is a waste of time. She reads her Bible and Book of Mormon and does service. Because "when I die nothing will come with me my TV, house...only me and my relationship with God!" She is the sweetest lady in the world. I can just hear her saying it now. At the end of the lesson, the spirit was really strong. F set a goal to be baptized in 22 June. They have to get married first. He wishes he could be baptized in 3-4 weeks but they have to get some papers done first. I am so excited for them!!!!!! :) They are my favorite people ever!! Then we went to a referral later with a member. She is Swedish. She used to be with members before and took the lessons; we are going to see her again next week. She is lovely!!

Saturday was really good as well. We found 3 new people and taught them all lessons!! :) They were all amazing!  Then the elders had a baptism later that night.

Church was great. As a missionary, church is always stressful. You are always trying to find people rides, wait for people that you hope are coming. Trying to make it the best for the investigators...It is stressful but it is still the best day out of the week. I am studying a lot on the Atonement. It is amazing to feel the love of our savior. I don’t think I could ever imagine all the love that He has for us. This is one of my favorite quotes that I found from a talk I read yesterday

"Through His Atonement He has opened FOREVER the opportunity to overcome such mistakes to repent of improper choices and to conquer the negative effects of a life contrary to His teachings".  -Richard G. Scott

I know that this is true. He will always be there to help us in any situation that we are in. He loves us so much. All he asks is for us to be obedient and Keep His commandments.

Love you all

The Lords hand is in the Work

Great week
SO...this week has been amazing!! As you can tell, I am still with Sister Koons in Gloucester. We just had transfers. So President is changing the rules. So now we will always have p-days on Mondays and if you are transferred you just go to the mission home and change.  It works a lot better now.
We had an awesome experience with F. We asked a Recent Convert of 1 month (got baptized the day we got to Gloucester) She came with us to see F. On our way to meet her she asked if her sister "A" could come. We said sure. Found out she had just got home from school, and heard where we were going and really wanted to come. We taught F the Plan of Salvation. It was really good. He really enjoyed it. We got out of the lesson and A was like. WOW!! I loved that. This is the first time I have ever heard of the plan of salvation. It totally makes sense; God has a plan for us. We aren't here to fend for ourselves. People talked to her about reincarnation and things like that. But it never made sense to her before. She really liked it. Later we talked about her sister’s baptism. And A said she wants to get baptized sometime... :) oh my gosh!!!! So excited!!!!

Then we had a day were we got stood up all day and so we decided to go tracting down this secret passage way we found. We found out there were some elect people down there that needed us to come. We found 6 potentials. The most we have ever found in an hour. It was awesome. We talked to a lot of people who have lost someone. Which I think it is amazing to see. Because with the passing of my companions Granddad. She has had so many opportunities to share her testimony about the Plan of Salvation. Her testimony is so strong. We had a good day! My companion is awesome. I love her!!! I couldn't ask for a better companion for me! :) I love it!

Saturday, we went by one of the potentials that we found the week prier. But the dad wasn't there. We talked to his son on the doorstep for like 30 minutes. It was really good. He really enjoyed it. He really wants to hear more about how there is a living prophet on the Earth today. Then we saw A again with a member. The lesson with her went so good. Her prayer was so sweet. I loved it. She has so much desire to learn and to find out for herself. She is awesome. We talked about The Book of Mormon. We had a ward quiz that night which was fun!

SUNDAY!!! Was awesome!! M and F came for all of church. They loved it. A came too.. We all bore our testimonies. We went to a members home for dinner. I was with their son in the MTC. So it was really fun!!! They live in the country side, it is gorgeous! Then later that night we got a call from a member. He gave us a referral at the beginning of the transfer. It is pretty far away. Like a 30 minute bus ride. We have tried by it a few times but never have caught the lady in. So at church he was asking about her. I asked if he could get the number of her that would be great. He called last night and gave us the number. I called her she answered so cheerfully. She said I have been expecting you and waiting for your phone call. When can you come see me!! :) :) :) It was amazing. She is so sweet! I am so excited to meet her. Then later that night I called M. She loved church. She said that today she felt something different. The spirit was so strong in the meeting. "The more I get involved in church the more I feel!" :) She is so great. I love her! Landon I can tell that you loved your mission if they are all like her.

This week has been great I have definitely seen the Lords hand in the work. I love missionary work. It is the best Job in the world. It might be hard someday but it is defiantly worth it.
I love you all!

General Conference

GENERAL CONFERENCE – GOT TO LOVE IT!!
Thank you so much for the emails!! To ALL!!!!! :) I loved them. It made my day. And they all were so long!

This week has been really good!!! Wow!! So on Tuesday we had District Meeting. The last one before transfers. It was a great meeting. We talked about the Atonement and conversion. How they both relate. How it helped us on our journey and being out on the mission sharing the gospel. After district meeting we went on exchanges we went Cheltenham with the other sisters. It was really good. Sister O.S. and I taught this girl. She is so sweet. She is a member referral. We sat down and all she wanted to know is what Is it about Mormons. How did it come about....I thought...What a great question!! :) Every missionaries dream. We started teaching the Restoration. I have a lot visual things to help teach. We watched the 20 min. Restoration DVD. It is so powerful!! After the video I asked her how she was feeling. She was speechless. She really liked it. She felt the video was for her. She was feeling the spirit and she didn't know what to do with it except to smile. :) :) We invited her to be baptized and she said yes when I know for myself. She said the closing prayer. It was such a sincere prayer. Really from the heart. She finished and she had tears in her eyes. It was amazing. The spirit was so strong. It was one of the most powerful lessons I have been in.  It's not because of us, it because the spirit was so strong in the lesson." I know that we were supposed to go on exchanges so we could go teach her. It was great

The next day we had some really good lessons. L, she is so sweet. She always says "yeah” it is so sweet. She is coming along well. She said she is going to come to church next week. So hopefully she will. She is like our mother she calls us a few times a week and asks if we had a dinner apt and she also wanted to invite us to her daughter’s birthday party. She is so sweet. She is great. J is amazing. This week when we saw her she knew what we are there for. We sat down and her first words were "what are you going to share with me today! :)” It was so sweet. She loves Jesus and wants to learn more about his gospel.   H has had a couple hard weeks lately. Since she accepted a baptism date, the adversary has been working hard on her. Hopefully we will be able to see her this week.

We also had a really good lesson with F. M and F are the best. We taught the Restoration. It was really good. It was my companions first time leading out in teaching the Restoration and she did AMAZING!  She is an amazing missionary. She is so prepared, she knows the gospel. She has such an amazing testimony when she bares it, you can feel the spirit so strong. His lesson was really good. He is progressing really well. Both came to conference.
I went to Priesthood we got a ride. My companion has done it before ha ha, she is so funny. She says "if the prophet is speaking I am going to go hear what he has to say. Until someone tells me I am not allowed and shows me in a handbook, I will be there!!" :) :) I love her. It was really good. I loved conference. All of the talks were amazing. It is so hard to pick a favorite.  I love President Monson’s stories he tells the best stories. His faces just make you smile. I loved Pres. Packer’s poem. It was so cute!! I loved the story about the football players watching over this girl who got bullied, the story about the dad who wasn't a member and got up in sacrament mtg and announced that when they go to pick up his son on his mission. He is going to be the last baptism on his mission!! :) Those all made me cry.

But most importantly I loved how the talks were all focused on the Atonement. How much Christ is the centre of the church? Because IT IS, only through Him that we can live with Heavenly Father again. He knew that, and that is why He chose to endure all that pain, and anguish, because He loves us. He loves me. I know that the Atonement is real. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had. I know He is always with me. We can turn to him for anything and everything. He is our savior and redeemer... and FRIEND.

I love you all!! I hope you have a great week. "JESUS LOVES YOU

Easter Eggs - Love Packages!!

EASTER

Mom and dad thank you so much for the emails. I love emails. Oh my gosh!! Mom I loved the eggs!! It was a surprise!! My companion and I were talking about how I never get post to my flat. Then the next hour the door rang and it was the post man! :) I was shocked!! I was so happy!!! OH my gosh!!!! Thank you so much!! Oh mom that made my day!!!! :)

We are doing really well. We have a really cute lady we are working with her partner. He is amazing. He is so prepared. He has been reading the scriptures every day. It was amazing. He feels the spirit when we talked about the scriptures. We read Alma 7. It was really good. Their daughter stayed in the lesson. It was really good. She felt the spirit. He will be baptized soon!! :)

We got stood up a lot this week which was really sad but it worked out at the same time. K and H both missed their appointments with us but at the same they text us and said they are interested. We haven't been able to see H for a while. She has her baptism date for the 27th of April but we still need to see her.  We were really sad about K. We haven't been able to see her since our first lesson. I was really sad. Because I still feel like she is so prepared. But at the same time I don’t know if she is interested! But this week after she missed our appointment with us, I was not wanting to but thinking we should drop her. Because she is not interested. But then we got a text from her saying she was really sad that she forgot. She doesn't want us to think she is not interested. It has just been really crazy lately!! So that made me feel really good, I knew God heard my prayers and he knows the needs of K. So this was really happy for me!

We also went to Birmingham which was really good. We had a good meeting with the President.

We have some new investigators seem promising but I guess time will tell.

I love you and I hope that you all have a great week.
